About Douglas Allen
A lifelong Michigan resident, outdoors, nature have always been part of my life. From studying fisheries and wildlife, backpacking, canoe camping the outdoors is what I do. I have carried too much camera gear too far, into too many wilderness locations. But isn’t art about sharing? What better way to share what you love than with a little piece of attempted art. Likely my attempt at art fell short of what I experienced. I love the shorelines I have camped along and the pets and people that have brightened my life. My hope is that I can share some of the beauty my life has been blessed with and my attempts to capture that beauty I saw and felt is passed on to those looking at my art.
